Malmi 80th Anniversary Airshow is first and foremost a family event. The portions of the programme taking place in the air are of course the most important part of the Malmi Airshow but there are also plenty of things to see and experience on the ground. There is an exhibition of airplanes, helicopters and other aviation related machinery plus equipment including simulators and wind tunnels. There's also lots of entertainment for the children.

Malmi 80th Anniversary Airshow is open 10 am to 7 pm Saturday and Sunday.

MALMI 80TH ANNIVERSARY AIRSHOW is a two-day aviation event organized at Helsinki-Malmi airport on the 13.-14.8.2016 that includes airshows. This announcement is about sound system and the noise coming from the airplanes from Thursday to Sunday 11.8-14.8.2016.

During the airshows, it might be noisier than usually in neighboring area. The noise is only temporary and in addition the airplanes used in the airshow cause moderate noise. Before the actual airshow on Thursday and Friday there will be airshow rehearsals that may momentarily cause extra noise. The airshow is organized with the permit of an aviation authoritative and by the rules and regulations. The flights will be executed safely and with a safe distance and with a minimum flight altitude.

The event causes noise on the following days and times:
Thursday 11.8. 16:00-20:00 airshow rehearsals
Friday 12.8. 12:00-14:00 & 16:00-20:00 airshow rehearsals
Saturday 13.8. 10:00-14:00 & 16:00-18:30 airshow
Sunday 14.8. 10:00-14:00 & 16:00-18:30 airshow

There will also be fighter aircrafts from the Air Force so it is good to be aware of the noise they cause. They are the loudest and they are flying between 18:00-18:30 (F-18 Hornet) on Saturday and Sunday. Midnight Hawks are flying between 13:30-14:00 on Saturday and Sunday.

The duration of each performance is only a few minutes. The fighter aircrafts of the Air Force will rehearse on Friday 12.8. from 12:25 to 13:10 (Midnight Hawks) and 13:30-13:40 (F-18 Hornet). There has been reserved an extra rehearsal time to Friday (if it is not possible to flight during the day), which will occur from 17:15 to 18:00 (Midnight Hawks) and 18:00-18:30 (F-18 Hornet).

We apologize the neighboring area for any possible disturbance.
